John Bennett likely to address Rangers fans within weeks after ‘huge’ Ibrox news
John Bennett is likely to address Rangers fans within weeks after the “huge” changes at the club this month, according to Four Lads Had A Dream.
Bennett, who took over as Rangers chairman from Douglas Park at the beginning of April, could even make his chairman’s address next week if “things go well” in the Scottish Cup semi-final against Celtic this Sunday (30 April).
Taking to Twitter and attaching an article headlined “Huge changes at Rangers upon us”, Rangers official partners Four Lads Had A Dream shared when Bennett is keen to share his visions for the club with supporters.

“John Bennett is different completely, engaging and believes in being more modern communicator than Douglas, I think that is to be welcomed,” they wrote.
“He is also ready to speak to the support and share his visions, however in recent weeks he has had the resignation of Ross Wilson, Stewart Robertson and then Season ticket renewals, whilst this weekend we face a semi final which is the last throw of this seasons dice.
“We can expect a chairman’s address next week if things go well, if not the following weeks, and I expect that regular communication will continue with the support.”
Brilliant news
Communication between the board and fans has been the major undoing of Rangers over the last few years.
Under both Ross Wilson and Park there was somewhat of a disconnect to the fanbase due to the lack of transparency at the top of the club and regarding transfers.
Hopefully in his chairman’s address, Bennett will look to start afresh with Gers supporters and bring a more modern outlook onto the role at Ibrox, communicating on a more regular basis and possibly handing an update on the search for a new sporting director.
Wilson’s departure to Nottingham Forest was greeted with great pleasure, but it has left the club on the back foot before the start of the summer transfer window, which is expected to be full of activity.
With Bennett in his new position as Chairman and Michael Beale in the Ibrox dugout, the club seem to be in very good hands moving into the future.
In other Rangers news, Ally McCoist believes one Gers player has to play in the Scottish Cup semi-final against Celtic to stop Kyogo from running rampant.
