Official Rangers partner reacts as Steven Gerrard footage emerges after goal v Celtic for Liverpool

Steven Gerrard scored a penalty in front of Celtic fans for Liverpool in a legends game on Saturday, and showed he’s still got Rangers at heart.

The former Gers boss celebrated in front of Celtic fans as they hurled objects and abuse at him during the legends game at Anfield, which Liverpool won 2-0.

And after footage emerged of Gerrard celebrating with angry Bhoys in the background, David Edgar of the Heart and Hand podcast reacted on social media with a simple one word response.

Quote tweeting a video from The Redmen TV Twitter account, Heart & Hand simply reacted with a laughing emoji to surely wind up those rival fans.

Brilliant

Things with Gerrard didn’t end so well because of the way he left for England at what seemed like the first opportunity, but it’s clear that he holds us pretty dear.

He made a point to celebrate in front of those Celtic fans instead of his beloved Liverpool supporters to make as much noise as possible and get right under their noses.

It’s great to see that even after the way it all ended, he still holds some form of care for the club and our fans, even if it is more of a hatred for that mob than it may be a love for us.

There will always be a place in Ibrox history for Gerrard because he was the reason for title number 55 coming home, and now we have another added memory from him even though it meant very little to Rangers.

It was fun to see and gave everyone something to talk about during this international break, and now hopefully we can look forward to the next game coming around quickly.
