David Edgar calls for Rangers staff overhaul after Nnamdi Ofoborh drama
David Edgar has insisted that the Rangers medical department needs to be “overhauled” after Nnamdi Ofoborh shared a cryptic message on Instagram.
The Gers signed Ofoborh, 23, from Bournemouth in 2021, but he has unfortunately not been able to play a single minute for the club due to an ongoing heart issue.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday (12 March), the ex-Nigeria youth international shared three images of himself in a hospital accompanied by a message that threatened to surface his “mistreatment over the last two years”.

Reacting to the post on Sunday evening, the Heart & Hand Podcast Twitter account, which is run by Edgar, replied: “Ofoborh seems to be having a pop at Rangers medical department here.
“It definitely needs [to be] overhauled.”
Cryptic
The initial Instagram message from Ofoborh hints that there is certainly something going on behind the scenes that has not been broken into public knowledge yet.
The 23-year-old has had a torrid time since departing the Cherries to play at Ibrox, with his heart issue holding back any sort of chance he could play for the Glasgow outfit.
Anything that the Nigerian has eluded to which has happened behind the scenes is pure speculation and can’t be judged until official news comes out.
However, from a broader standpoint, the number of injuries the Gers have picked up this season, but more worryingly, the number of players who are reduced to the Ibrox medical table straight away after returning from injury suggests something isn’t quite right behind the scenes.
The likes of Kemar Roofe are the perfect example of this. When the striker is fully firing, there are few better goalscorers in Scottish football, however, for one reason or another, he simply can’t string together a run of games in the team.
All eyes are on this situation, there is never a dull moment at Ibrox.
In other Rangers news, this Ibrox ace has been tipped to join a “big club in England” after what Beale said.
