Ryan Kent to join 'big club in England' as Rangers exit nailed-on after what Michael Beale said - pundit

We’re delighted to welcome Tam McManus as our exclusive Rangers columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Ibrox

Tam McManus believes Ryan Kent could leave Rangers in the summer transfer window to join a “big club in England” on a free transfer.

Kent, 26, has been in mixed form this season for the Light Blues with his contract at Ibrox due to expire in the summer.

As quoted by The Herald on 3 March, Michael Beale has confirmed that none of his players whose contracts are soon expiring have been offered fresh terms.

And while Kent is still starting for Beale, McManus believes the ex-Liverpool winger is on his way out of Ibrox to join a club south of the border later this year.

Speaking to Ibrox News, McManus said: “Beale’s got to keep playing Kent at the minute. He’s probably Rangers’ best player and I don’t think he’ll be there [next season].

I think he’ll move to a big club in England in the summer.

Beale played his two new signings, [Todd] Cantwell and [Nicolas] Raskin, at Hibs and both were excellent.

He’s looking ahead to next season. He’s looking to see who’s going to be there, who he wants to be there.

The players not in his plans and he doesn’t see having a future at Rangers will either be on the bench coming on as a sub or in the stands.”

Allan McGregor, Ryan Jack and Kent all started the 4-1 win against Hibs at Easter Road on Wednesday night and all three of them are out of contract in the summer.

Filip Helander, Scott Arfield, Steven Davis and Alfredo Morelos were left out of the starting line-up for one reason or another and also see their deals as Gers players expire soon.

In other Rangers news, more issues could emerge in the Ibrox boardroom over a cash injection.
