Rangers transfer news as Nicolas Raskin agreement expected today
Rangers are expected to reach an agreement with Standard Liege on 30 January to finalise the transfer of midfielder Nicolas Raskin, according to DHnet.
The report claims that a deal for around £1.7m was almost found between the clubs after negotiations went on late into the night between Rangers and Liege.
DHnet also report that Raskin had an offer from Germany but had his heart and mind set on a move to Ibrox to join Michael Beale’s outfit.

“The negotiations continued late into the evening of Sunday and the agreement was almost found around 2M € (including bonuses) and 20% on resale, Standard thus obtaining what it wanted,” as quoted by Dhnet. (30 January)
“During the day, an offer also arrived from Germany but Raskin was desperate to join Rangers. The full agreement is expected on Monday.”

Hallelujah.
Rangers fans may finally be able to rejoice and be able to name Raskin as a Light Blues player, something that has been a long time coming.
Will he? Won’t he? Gossip has plagued Ibrox in recent months over the potential arrival of Raskin but it seems now fee squabbles have been sorted out.
Raskin, himself, is a top talent and will be looking to make an instant impact on Beale’s side, something he has the skills to do.
The midfielder would be Beale’s second signing of the January transfer window, joining Todd Cantwell in the new faces joining Ibrox this month.
There still maybe even more business for the Gers faithful to enjoy before the window shuts close, but it remains to be seen if there will be enough time to get them over the line.
Swansea’s Morgan Whittaker has also been touted with a move to Glasgow and could well be the third signing of the Beale era at Rangers.
In other Rangers news, a club in Europe holds the option to re-sign a player from Ibrox whenever they like.
