Rangers continue negotiations for Nicolas Raskin as club get busy in background

Rangers are looking to add more players in the closing stages of the January transfer window, as shared by Four Lads Had A Dream.

Michael Beale has confirmed, as shared by the Rangers official media partner on Twitter, that “negotiations continue” for Nicolas Raskin, although it is “not true” that the 21-year-old midfielder has signed a pre-contract agreement.

The Bears have already signed Todd Cantwell from Norwich City, but there could be more additions, as the club look to get “busy” in the background.

“Michael Beale. Plans in place for signings, lot of noise around one or two, busy in background. Not true that Raskin has signed a pre contract, negotiations continue,” wrote Four Lads had a dream.

The Bears are looking to sign Raskin permanently this month.

Beale has addressed the need to add players who can genuinely improve the first team, and Raskin falls in that category.

He has been left frozen by his club after contract extension talks have fallen through.

Rangers have submitted a bid already, but it has been rejected. It is well short of the £1.5m Standard Beige are looking for [The Scottish Sun].

The fans will be excited to hear that the club are looking to land one or two more players this month. It means the Bears could remain extremely busy in the next few days as the transfer deadline approaches.

Beale has done a brilliant job so far. It has arrested the gradual decline and has brought back the winning mentality at the club.

His biggest task now is to rebuild the squad, and it won’t happen in one transfer window. He will need more time to build the squad to his own taste, but it is good to see the club are ready to back him in the market.
