Rangers fans bombard pundit with messages asking why £2m Kevin Nisbet deal hasn’t been done
We’re delighted to welcome Tam McManus as our exclusive Rangers columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Ibrox…
Tam McManus cannot understand why Rangers haven’t had a go at signing Hibernian striker Kevin Nisbet with the Scotland international reportedly on his way to Millwall.
London News Online reported on Thursday (26 January) that Nisbet, 25, is on his way to England to complete a medical at Championship side Millwall, who are reportedly paying just over £2million for the ex-Dunfermline hitman [Scottish Express].
Nisbet has been on fire at Easter Road since returning from a serious knee injury.

He made his first appearance of the season against Rangers on 15 December, scoring in his side’s 3-2 defeat at Ibrox. And he’s now leaving Edinburgh with a record of seven goals in six Scottish Premiership appearances for the Hibees this term.
McManus, who played for Hibs, believes that the transfer fee would have been affordable for the Light Blues to sign Nisbet.
“A lot of Rangers supporters on social media have messaged me saying they can’t understand why Rangers haven’t gone in for him,” McManus told Ibrox News.

“Looking at that fee (£2million), I don’t think it’s a lot of money for someone who’s proven in the Scottish Premiership.
“Maybe Rangers are looking for someone who can potentially play in the Champions League or the Europa League. I don’t think Kevin is at that level but domestically, he’ll score goals for them.
“I can understand why fans would think that for that money, Nisbet would have been worth a punt.”
In other Rangers news, a club in Europe holds the option to re-sign a player from Ibrox whenever they like.
