Antonio Colak sends social media signal as Rangers look set to announce Todd Cantwell signing

Rangers look set to announce Norwich City midfielder Todd Cantwell as their first signing of the January window, as reported by The Daily Record.

That is because Bears striker, Antonio Colak, is now following the player on Instagram, apparently giving an indication that the signing could be very close.

The Croat has been struggling with fitness recently but his online activity could be a “major signal” that he is set to welcome his potential teammate, Cantwell, shortly at Ibrox.

Get it done!

This could be a busy end to the transfer window for the Gers, and Michael Beale has promised that it could be an exciting week.

Cantwell could be the first signing for the club this month, as he is on the verge of leaving Carrow Road permanently in the summer either way.

He has come through the youth ranks at the club, and has dazzled in the Premier League before.

He has struggled for game time over the last 18 months and became surplus to requirements at Norwich.

Cantwell is a fantastic midfielder who probably needs a change in scenery to regain his best form.

At Rangers, it will be a new challenge for him. While there’s no doubt that he is supremely talented, the pressure at Ibrox is something he hasn’t experienced before.

Rangers are in a situation where they have to win every game to have any chance of closing the gap with Celtic.

He will be looking to challenge the likes of Ryan Kent and Malik Tillman for a regular starting role.

The deal is not confirmed yet, but based on Colak’s online activity, it’s not hard to guess that Rangers are probably very close to announcing his signing.

In other Rangers news, the Gers want to offer a four-and-a-half-year contract to seal the signing of this European ace.
