Nicolas Raskin Instagram post surely indicates Ibrox move close as Rangers agree personal terms

Nicolas Raskin has reportedly agreed personal terms with Rangers – and his latest Instagram post could well have dropped a clue on his next move.

According to HLN (20 January, 18:29), the Gers have won the race for the midfielder, beating two Belgium teams to his signature. It’s believed they have already agreed on terms with Raskin and that Standard Liege are now the only obstacle to overcome.

The Jupiler League side were in action against Antwerp on Sunday afternoon, but Raskin was not present. Instead, the 21-year-old posted an Instagram story (22 January) of himself doing some fitness work on his own at Liege’s Académie Robert Louis-Dreyfus training ground.

According to the Sunday Mail (pg. 71, 22 January), Liege chiefs have ordered manager Ronny Deila to dump the contract rebel into the reserves as he edges closer to the exit door.

These reports appear to be correct and Raskin’s Instagram post clearly indicates that he is looking to force his way out of the club in the January window.

He would be a superb addition to Michael Beale’s squad should he be able to conclude a deal in the coming days. It’s clear the Rangers boss is eager to add a more youthful edge to his current options with Morgan Whittaker and Todd Cantwell also linked to the Light Blues – with the latter set to complete his move imminently.

If all three players can come through the door at Ibrox it would’ve been one of the Gers’ best transfer windows in recent memory and the ideal start for Beale in his first transfer window at the club.

In other Rangers newsthe club want to sign this South American ace who’s playing in Europe.
