£17m Josip Juranovic has nightmares of Fashion Sakala after Rangers draw v Celtic – pundit

We’re delighted to welcome Tam McManus as our exclusive Rangers columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Ibrox

Fashion Sakala has his “best performance in a Rangers shirt” on Monday in the 2-2 Old Firm draw with Celtic at Ibrox, according to Tam McManus.

Sakala, 25, had been in and out of the Gers’ starting line-up under Giovanni van Bronckhorst but since Michael Beale took charge at Ibrox, the Zambia international has earned four starts in five matches.

In those four starts, Sakala has scored two goals and supplied three assists, with two of those assists coming against Celtic on 2 January.

McManus believes that Celtic right-back Josip Juranovic will still be having nightmares about Sakala’s performance.

Juranovic, 27, impressed at the World Cup for Croatia and Sportske Novosti reports that Celtic are ready to sell the right-back for £17million.

Despite the global acclaim and the massive price tag, that didn’t stop Sakala from running riot against him in the Old Firm.

“Sakala gave Juranovic a nightmare,” McManus told Ibrox News.

He’s very raw still. There were a couple of times where he had shots and blasted them over the bar so he needs a little bit more composure.

He gives Rangers energy and pace and caused Celtic problems.

It was probably his best performance in a Rangers shirt, to be honest. It’s the best I’ve seen from him, anyway.

He just needs to work on the composure in the final third and if he gets that, he can be a really big player for Rangers.”

In other Rangers news, the Gers want to sign this South American ace who’s playing in Europe.
