Adam Devine lifts the lid on intense Rangers training sessions under Michael Beale
Rangers teenager Adam Devine has opened up on the standards and intensity new manager Michael Beale has demanded since he arrived at the club, according to the Daily Record.
Beale has undertaken a strong start to life at Ibrox, winning four and drawing one of his first five games at the helm.
The only dropped points came in the entertaining 2-2 draw in the Old Firm against Celtic on Monday (2 January), which was filled with its fair share of controversy.

Although the Gers are yet to close down the nine-point gap to the league leaders since the sacking of Giovanni van Bronckhorst, 19-year-old Devine was quick to highlight the impact Beale has had since taking the job.
Speaking at a SPFL Match Attax collection event, he said: “He is very demanding in training.
“It’s very competitive every day in training. You need to win and that sets you up for the games on the Saturday. Everybody is driving standards. Everybody wants to be the best in training.
“It is setting a real mood around the group, every day we go into training there has to be a real intensity to the training session.
“It is only beneficial being so competitive in training. In a club like Rangers you need to win every week and at the end of the day to succeed is to win trophies and that’s what we hope to do.

Steady progress
Since Beale’s arrival at the club, Rangers have gone on an impressive run of form without looking like the unstoppable force they once were under Steven Gerrard. Obviously, this can’t be expected after a mere five games as manager, but the Englishman’s side have looked a little off the pace in crucial moments of matches.
The Gers were slow to get out of the blocks in the Old Firm and surrendered an early goal thanks to Alfredo Morelos’ sloppy play within his own half – passing the ball straight to Daizen Maeda, who went on to score past Allan McGregor.
Beale’s team also conceded two goals in clashes against Hibernian and Aberdeen but showed their fighting qualities to come through and win both encounters 3-2.
Despite these shortcomings, football is a results business, and Beale has proven his winning mentality during his early stages at the helm. Fans should be pleased with the quick progress he had overseen after the club’s dire start to the SPL season.
In other Rangers news, the Gers want to sign this South American ace who’s playing in Europe.
