Spotted: Rangers complete signing of Rydnn McGuire from Dundee United
Rangers have seemingly completed the signing of Dundee United starlet Rydnn McGuire as his Mum shared an image on Twitter.
The goalkeeper has already played matches for the Tangerines’ Under-18s side this season despite being just 15 years of age having been born in 2008.
McGuire is the son of former Aberdeen defender Phil and has even more football in his blood as the nephew of ex-Leeds United midfielder Jamie Winter.
“Proud proud moment … dreams do come true,” McGuire’s mother Kari Winter said via her personal Twitter account accompanying an image of Rydnn signing his deal at Auchenhowie. “2023 let’s have it.”

Rangers made a number of additions to the academy in the summer by scouring the land for the best Scottish talent and bringing them all together in Glasgow.
That policy, though, is not something that can just be done in one window but a method that is used almost constantly throughout each and every transfer period to make the next generation of Light Blues stars as good as possible.

It also allows the B team, currently competing in the Lowland League, to strengthen even further down the line as they dominate the lower leagues of Scotland with their wealth of talent in comparison to their divisional rivals.
McGuire is the first goalkeeper to join the academy after a focus on outfield talent during the summer and he leaves Dundee United with some valuable experience already under his belt.
He might not play for Rangers for several years, maybe not even the Under-18s for a while, but the talent is undeniable and Rangers have done very well to secure his services so early in his career.
In other Rangers news, Kris Boyd could only name two Ibrox stars in his Premiership team of the season so far while Andy Walker did not name any.
