Birmingham City aware of Ryan Kent contract situation at Rangers ahead of January transfer window
Birmingham City reportedly are aware of Rangers attacker Ryan Kent’s contract situation with his deal at Ibrox running out at the end of the season.
According to Birmingham Live [13 December], the Englishman may be tempted to leave and try a new challenge this summer.
However, it’s understood that he’s a Premier League level player rather than a Championship one and the Blues also do not play with out and out wingers.
Will he stay?
Kent played some of his best football at Rangers during Beale’s first stint when he was working with Steven Gerrard.
The Englishman was one of the best wide players in the division and had the ability to turn games around within the blink of an eye.

Kent no longer is the same threat going forward and that could be natural regression or the fact that he downed tools under Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
If Beale does not think he can turn his form around, he may look to sanction his exit in the January transfer window.
He knows that the more money he can generate from player sales, the bigger his transfer kitty will be in January and more importantly over the summer.
Beale surely will use the friendlies to gauge the level of a number of exit-linked players so we’re expecting some more clarity on them over the coming weeks before the window opens at the start of January.
