BBC pundit shocked at major moment in Rangers win v Bayer Leverkusen
Neil McCann was shocked by the lack of defensive nous shown by Bayer Leverkusen in the defeat to Rangers on 10 December.
The Bundesliga side lost 3-0 but it was the second goal that the former Gers player had the most objection with.
None of Leverkusen’s players marked Malik Tillman who had a free header at the near post and slotted home James Tavernier’s corner with ease.

Speaking to Rangers TV, McCann, a BBC pundit said [13:55, 10/12], “Shocking from them. I just saw them standing with Tillman in so much space. You can see they’re not quite at the level mentally or physically.”

This result never felt like it was any doubt even before Rangers managed to break the deadlock.
Leverkusen did not look up for it and allowed the hosts the dictate terms from start to end and they eventually scored three goals.
Had Gers been more clinical, they could’ve netted five or six as it was that kind of one-way demolition and Michael Beale should be impressed but not read too much into this.
The real test will come in the league, especially against Celtic who are a few weeks away and Rangers need to up their game for that one.
The fans will certainly have gone have delighted though as they saw clear patterns of play early on in the Beale era and they know a win against Celtic is the perfect way to kickstart it.
Alfredo Morelos looked lively after coming on as well so it remains to be seen if the new manager can convince him to sign a new deal.
In other Rangers news, a BBC pundit has savaged a senior player at Ibrox after what he saw him do this week.
