Rangers official partner reacts as Glen Kamara subject to multi-million transfer offer
Heart and Hand are happy with Glen Kamara’s sale as long as Rangers end up signing another midfielder in the January transfer window.
The club’s official partner took to Twitter to react to a transfer development involving the 27-year-old Finland international.
It’s understood that the Ligue 1 side to shell out a fee in the region of £6million in order to secure the services of Kamara.
Via Twitter, Heart and Hand wrote, “So long as the money is spent on midfield.”
Spot on
There are plenty of issues in the Rangers side and midfield undoubtedly is one of them and it needs addressing in the January window.
If Kamara is sold, that money can surely be put into signing a replacement that will be younger and arguably better as the Finland international appears to have declined recently.
He was extremely good under Steven Gerrard but is now no longer that player and does seem to be a liability on occasion.
Michael Beale may still feel that he can get the best out of him, but he also must think of the long-term picture and he’ll surely have kept tabs on Kamara’s performances over the last year.
We’re hoping that Rangers do look to fast-track his sale and if possible bring in more teams to the table in order to secure his services.
That will only drive up the 27-year-old’s price which we see as a win-win for the Ibrox hierarchy and they must then spend that money in January.
