Nantes prepare multi-million January transfer bid for Rangers ace Glen Kamara

Rangers are reportedly likely to field a multi-million transfer bid from Ligue 1 side Nantes for their midfielder Glen Kamara.

According to the Daily Record [9 December], the eight-time Ligue 1 winners have now jumped the queue to emerge as the favourites to sign the Finland international.

It’s understood that they’re willing to shell out a fee in the region of £6million and make a formal offer for the 27-year-old.

Kamara may be a Rangers fan favourite but it’s pretty evident that he’s not the same player he was a couple of years ago.

Under Steven Gerrard, the Finland midfielder was fielding interest from clubs in the Premier League and now he’s on the radar of mid-table clubs in France.

He’s even struggling to get game time for the first team and most of his appearances this season have come off the bench.

However, Michael Beale could be sympathetic towards Kamara and decide to give him another chance to prove his worth.

That said, he knows that the club is run as a business and if he’s given the money to find a better player than Kamara, he surely will take it.

This squad is in desperate need of reinforcements and we do not see Kamara having a long future at Ibrox even if he does not leave in the January transfer window although we do feel this is time to strike and cash in.
