Douglas Park set for Rangers bruising as AGM approaches quickly on Tuesday

Douglas Park is set for a real Rangers bruising this week as he prepares for the latest AGM at Ibrox on Tuesday 6 December, according to Keith Jackson.

The Daily Record columnist has insisted that the chairman will be left with a bloody nose after the poor start to the season, lack of investment and being forced into the change of manager.

Dave King has also publically shared that he will oppose the re-election of Park, although he should have enough support from the boardroom to keep his spot, regardless of what fans think.

Writing in his latest column for the Daily Record, Jackson pulled no strings when he shared what to expect for the chairman in the upcoming meeting.

“Put it this way, rivals Rangers are crying out for exactly this kind of robust, experienced presence in their boardroom as the Ibrox club lurches towards Tuesday’s AGM,” he wrote.

“It could be a potentially bruising experience for their own chairman, Douglas Park, whose re-election to the top job is being publicly opposed by Dave King. Park will have enough support around him in the boardroom to keep hold of his position at the top of the table.

“However, King’s appeal to the wider Rangers fan base will likely mean the motor tycoon could be left with a bloody nose all the same.”

Carnage.

Regardless of if he keeps his position, Park is going to be in for a rude awakening finally in Govan.

For too long as he cruised along untouched despite making countless decisions that are simply wrong or harmful for the club, and will likely try and hide behind the success of the past two seasons.

Let’s not hold back any punches though, this season has been shocking, to say the least, with the transfer window going dreadfully and the league not much better.

The less said about the Champions League the better too, so he’s going to have a lot of explaining to do.

With matters off the pitch getting worst by the week too, we are seeing numerous reports of the club being sued by multiple parties with big potential pay outs on the cards.

There is a lot of explaining to do, and it will be interesting to see the outcome of this latest AGM – it may not be pretty for Park and his gang.
