Francesco Farioli still one to keep tabs on despite failed Rangers manager talks this week
Francesco Farioli is still one name to keep tabs on at Ibrox despite failed Rangers manager talks this week, according to The Athletic.
It is reported by the online source that the Italian met with the club as talks continued ahead of Michael Beale becoming the 18th permanent manager.
Farioli made a name for himself under now-Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi, who is taking the English Premier League by storm at this moment in time.

Writing in his latest column for The Athletic, Campbell shared a little insight into who else was given the chance to take over at Ibrox and why it may not be the end for them.
“It is understood Francesco Farioli was one of those Rangers met,” he wrote.
“The 33-year-old Italian has built a reputation for playing imaginative football at Alanyaspor in Turkey after serving as now Brighton & Hove Albion manager Roberto De Zerbi’s goalkeeping coach at Serie A side Sassuolo for two years before moving into management.
“However, he is considered one to keep tabs on.”

Contingency plan?
So, after Ross Wilson and Stewart Robertson concluded talks in London this week, they came to the obvious decision that everyone expected.
Despite all the names being floated around at Ibrox, it was always Beale that everyone was waiting to see unveiled, and to no surprise whatsoever, that happened.
But, it appears that others caught the eye and Farioli may still be watched closely as the young Italian looks to explode onto the scene and make a real name for himself.
Still keeping tabs on the Italian may be an indicator that he impressed in talks, but Beale was on a plate for the Ibrox board and they saw no other way forward.
For now, it is all aboard the Beale train with the Ibrox faithful to back the new man to the hill as he looks to repair and regenerate this squad for another push towards silverware which starts immediately.
Bring it on.
