Stan Collymore sends instant message as Rangers sack Giovanni van Bronckhorst
Stan Collymore has shared his message on Twitter as Rangers have sacked Giovanni van Bronkhorst.
The Gers have confirmed the news on their official Twitter handle on Monday (21 November) that they have parted ways with the Dutchman.
The Bears have made a poor start to the season and they trail behind Celtic by nine points at the top of the table, also crashing out of the Champions League in embarrassing fashion.
Collymore tweeted: “GVB (Giovanni van Bronckhorst) to be sacked by Rangers today.”
Huge
Wow. This is huge.
It was anticipated for a while that he could be sacked but there were conflicting reports elsewhere. It was thought that the club will give him time after the World Cup.
However, they have decided to pull the trigger. Rangers had a poor Champions League campaign as well, where they finished bottom of the group with zero points and lost 7-1 against Liverpool.
Van Bronckhorst took charge from Steven Gerrard last season, and took the club to the final of the Europa League. He also won Scottish Cup at the end of the last season.

However, it’s time for him to go. He is clearly not the right man to win the league, as his side lacks consistency.
Rangers have dropped points at home in recent months, and the football being played was dull and unimaginative. The recruitment has been poor as well.
He really cared about the club, but the performance matters most. It’s time for a change.
