Rangers fancy Michael Beale for manager, depends on finances at Ibrox
Rangers fancy making Michael Beale their new manager but money will play a huge part in determining whether they make a move, according to journalist Alan Nixon.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst finally met his Ibrox end on Monday 21 December 2022, much to the delight of fans who have been calling for his head.
Nixon confessed that the Gers do “fancy” appointing their former assistant coach Beale to the head honcho role but compensation will matter massively.

“Beale fancied but does he fancy it and what’s the compo? Money will play a part in this. No point kidding otherwise,” said Nixon on Twitter.
Beale would be welcomed with open arms by many fans of Rangers, the former assistant coach is held in high regard by many in Glasgow.

Money.
Nixon is completely right here, money and compensation will play a huge role in whether Rangers can get this one along the line.
There’s no doubt Beale would be a fantastic addition at Ibrox, it’s just whether the club can afford to pay his current club Queens Park Rangers some compensation after sacking Van Bronckhorst.
Tongues will be wagging at the prospect of a Beale return and it’s the kind of exciting name fans can envision flourishing at Rangers.
However, there are other names being linked with the job who could do equally as good of a job as Beale if not better.
Sean Dyche has been touted for some time now and whilst he doesn’t play the most entertaining brand of football, he’d bring stability and reassurance back to the Light Blues’ performances.
Steven Gerrard is also being linked with a return to Ibrox, but this one would likely be avoided by all parties involved, Rangers need a fresh new slate.
