Ross Wilson to jet into Germany as Rangers crisis continues
Rangers sporting director Ross Wilson will represent the club at a major transfer summit this week as pressure continues to mount on manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst, according to Record Sport.
Wilson is set to check into TransferRoom’s Berlin convention as meetings commence on Monday and Tuesday with a number of other European clubs.
TransferRoom – which is also known as the speed dating of football – sees representatives from clubs meet in person for quick meetings in which they discuss all their ongoing transfer activity.

A number of Scottish Premiership clubs including Aberdeen, Dundee United, Motherwell and Hibs are set to be present at the talks in Germany.
Record Sport journalist Graeme Young stated: “Wilson – who has acted as a keynote speaker at previous events – will be keenly aware of the need for a rousing January window whoever is in the dugout.
“Wilson is a long-time backer of the transfer trading market which he has regularly attended since his days at Southampton.
“The Ibrox side trail Celtic by nine points and the summer captures of the likes of Rabbi Matondo and Ridvan Yilmaz have yet to wield results. And fellow arrivals Tom Lawrence, John Souttar and Ben Davies have been cursed by a rotten run of injuries which has reduced their impact.”

Changes needed
Both on and off the pitch Rangers seem to be in a state of bother.
On it, the Gers find themselves nine points behind title rivals Celtic and following their catastrophic Champions League campaign, Van Bronckhorst is facing an uphill battle to keep his job in the Ibrox dugout.
Off the pitch, Rangers’ transfer strategy is starting to look a little muddled after flogging Nathan Patterson, Joe Aribo and Calvin Bassey over the last 12 months and not being able to replace them.
Negative news has also surfaced surrounding talented winger Ryan Kent who could leave the club in January for as little as £1million after a failure to tie him down to a new contract.
Wilson now finds himself under increasing pressure as he heads to the Berlin convention, with Rangers looking towards the January transfer window as an antidote for their issues.
Extra bodies are much-needed in January so Wilson needs to get things moving, and fast.
