Rangers board lose faith in Giovanni van Bronckhorst as crisis sack talks held

The majority of the Rangers board have now lost faith in Giovanni van Bronckhorst and crisis sack talks are being held, according to the Scottish Sun.

Van Bronckhorst’s men put in another woeful outing in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday 12th November, drawing away to St Mirren.

Now, a damning report claims that the manager is now on the verge at Ibrox with the sack coming as he clings on to his job after jetting off tho Holland already.

“That damaging result has left Gers nine points behind leaders Celtic and was the final straw for most of the board,” wrote Colin Duncan for The Scottish Sun.

“And now, just six months after leading them to the Europa League final, Van Bronckhorst’s time at the helm appears to be up.

“Failing to win 14 of his 27 matches in charge this season has brought the situation to a head.”

Compensation package

This may prove to be the Dutchman’s saving grace, but it’s starting to look increasingly likely that the tight-pursed stringed Rangers board will pay the sum.

It’s about time, van Bronkhorst can’t do anything else to rectify this woeful situation, he’s lost the trust of the team and the fans.

The World Cup break provides the ideal opportunity for the club to look for a suitable replacement, one who can come in and sure things up instantly.

Van Bronckhorst should have been sacked a long time ago and the fact he’s still in the job today is baffling, hopefully, the club do the right thing here.

A fresh, positive start at Ibrox is needed if the Gers stand any chance of catching Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

In other Rangers news, van Bronckhorst has been involved in a bust-up with a senior player.
