Giovanni van Bronckhorst in full-time bust-up with Glen Kamara as Rangers drop yet more points

Giovanni van Bronckhorst was involved in a bust-up with Glen Kamara at the end of Rangers’ 1-1 draw away at St Mirren on Saturday, according to The Athletic.

The news outlet reported on Sunday morning (13 November) that Kamara, 27, was substituted off at half-time and was fully dressed in the foyer by the time the game ended.

Speaking to Sky Sports, van Bronckhorst refused to speak much about Kamara, saying that the Finland midfielder was taken off as a tactical decision.

He’s got to go

Van Bronckhorst’s terrible results are one thing.

Boos from the crowd are another.

But falling out with players in what seems like a public manner means that the manager has well and truly lost it and we doubt there’s any coming back from this for Gio.

It’s a shame that it’s gone down like this.

A lot of us were excited to have the Dutchman replace Steven Gerrard this time last year.

He was a legend of the game in his playing days, had a stint at Ibrox and had done wonders in the Netherlands while in charge of Feyenoord.

Last season, he led us to a Europa League final and won the Scottish Cup.

But ultimately, performances in the league have been unacceptable while this season’s Champions League capitulation just piles further onto the misery.

It’s time for van Bronckhorst to go.

Celtic are one for a domestic treble as long as he stays at Ibrox.

In other Rangers news, the Gers are readying a £5million bid to sign a new forward in January.
