Alfredo Morelos returns in Rangers confirmed starting XI v St Mirren
Giovanni van Bronckhorst has named his Rangers starting XI for the Scottish Premiership clash against St Mirren on Saturday 12th November.
After a pivotal 1-0 win against Hearts in midweek, the Bears will be looking to close the gap with Celtic to just four points in the club’s last game before the World Cup winter break.
Rangers confirmed their starting line-up via Twitter, with van Bronckhorst making three changes from his side’s win on Wednesday.
Alfredo Morelos comes into the starting lineup in place of the injured Antonio Colak, while Glen Kamara and Scott Wright replace Ben Davies and Rabbi Matondo, the first of those out completely.
Hosts St Mirren are without a win in their last three games, having conceded eight goals in the process. They arrive on the back of a frustrating 2-2 draw with St Johnstone which saw them concede a 96th-minute equaliser in quite dramatic fashion.
Pressure remains
Although Van Bronckhorst delayed calls for his sacking with a less-than-convincing 1-0 win over Hearts, most of the plaudits went to the inspired Ryan Kent.
The winger proved a menace on the left touchline all game, picking up the ball in dangerous areas and running directly at the Hearts back four with pace and purpose.
The constant threat he posed finally resulted in the breakthrough Van Bronckhorst so desperately needed, with the winger assisting Malik Tillman’s winner just after the hour mark.

Following a dismal Champions League campaign in which Rangers conceded a staggering 22 goals in just six games, van Bronckhorst knows he is one defeat away from losing his job at the Ibrox Stadium.
With the Scottish Premiership set to break for the World Cup after this round of fixtures, Van Bronkhorst will see this lunchtime kickoff as the perfect opportunity to go into the break on a high, rather than being sacked he hopes.
