Finance Expert: Real bad blood on show as Rangers finally vindicated by developments
We’re delighted to welcome football finance expert Dr Daniel Plumley as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Rangers...
Dan Plumley has insisted that there is “real bad blood” coming from the Rangers wrongful prosecution scandal as developments continue in November.
The Finance Expert has admitted that the Bears will finally feel vindicated as the outcome pours in, with the high costs one of the main reasons they were pursuing it.
Litigation costs have now exceeded £50million [BBC], with the pressure on public finances not helping the Crown Court side of things at this moment.

“It’s certainly the way it looks when you read the verdict and the fallout,” he exclusively told Ibrox News.
“The club will feel vindicated that they have pursued this in the way they have and yes, the costs are high but from a club perspective, that is why they were pursuing it because they felt like there was some wrongdoing that had taken shape there.
“So, from a club side of things, that’s the reason for doing it and they are vindicated there, the bigger picture there, a regrettable affair linked to the costs and certainly the pressure on public finances right now from the Crown Court side of things, it’s that where some of the real bad blood is from the fallout.
“They will feel vindicated in the outcome.”

Despite costs going above £50million, the Scottish government has previously insisted that they will not be met from the Crown Office budget.
Safety minister for the Scottish Conservatives, Russell Findlay has described the costs as “shocking” and they only look like continuing in the months to come.
All eyes will continue to be on this one, with the bad blood very clear.
