Andy Walker: Rangers fans right to ask where the money has gone as Giovanni van Bronckhorst has nothing

Andy Walker has insisted that there is “nothing there” on the cash front for Rangers ahead of the January transfer window after the World Cup.

The Sky Sports pundit insisted that every last Bears fan has the right to question where the money as gone after the years of success on the field in recent seasons.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst was said to have been open and honest when admitting that there could be no funds to improve this squad once the winter window opens.

Speaking via Glasgow Live from Go Radio, Walker was behind every last complaint coming from the Ibrox faithful over the scenes currently unfolding.

“If you are talking about a rebuild at Rangers, then you need money,” he said.

“When Rangers sold Nathan Patterson, Calvin Bassey, Joe Aribo, got to a Europa League final, qualified for the Champions League and all the ticket sales that involves, you would have Giovanni van Bronckhorst would have spent post-qualification before the games started.

“And you would have thought that there would have been money available in January. It seems as though Giovanni van Bronckhorst is being absolutely open, honest and up-front – there’s nothing there.

“I think it’s reasonable of any Rangers fan to ask ‘really?’ Where has all of that money gone?”

Desperate.

That is what this squad is right now, with our current team of injured players likely good enough to beat the lads who are fit and available – it is getting ridiculous.

When that happens, you are looking to your board for answers and Ross Wilson will no doubt hide once again as his summer business continues to fail.

Antonio Colak is the only one we can consider to be a success so far, with the rest either not given the chance like Ridvan Yilmaz, or just poor additions.

Joe Aribo, Nathan Patterson and Calvin Bassey raked in huge sums of money, and none of them were replaced properly, especially financially, so there has to be some of that laying around.

Ibrox is quickly becoming a laughing stock after the constant excuses in every field possible, none more so than the Champions League, why can they not just be honest with us?

Dreadful at every level.
