Tam McManus in hysterics as Rangers and Celtic stat revealed in Europe

Tam McManus has been left in hysterics at Rangers managing to collect more European coefficient points than Celtic and Hearts this season for Scottish football.

Despite the Bears having the record for the worst-ever Champions League group stage, they have still done more to help Scottish football in the rankings.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst steering his side through the qualifiers with wins over Union Saint-Gilloise and PSV Eindhoven must have been the defining factor, with Celtic winning zero games.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, McManus responded to Derek Clark who shared the numbers after a disastrous campaign for everyone involved.

“Really,” he simply laughed.

Dismal.

So, who are the laughing stocks now?

Rangers have put Scotland on the map single handily over the past few years in the Europa League, and finally made that step into the Champions League this time around.

Celtic were knocked out of all three European competitions somehow last season, yet that isn’t talked about despite the opposition being nothing short of shocking.

Van Bronckhorst will not be happy with his team’s performance, but Hearts have been smashed regularly in the Europa Conference League and Celtic failed to win a single game themselves.

It is easy to laugh at others without looking at what is happening in your own house, and that has certainly happened with this one throughout this campaign.

More money needs to be spent, everyone knows that and let’s hope that happens with Scottish football hopefully sticking around in the Champions League with less of a disaster next time.
