Kris Boyd believes Rangers forward Tom Lawrence’s injury gives Celtic upper hand
Kris Boyd believes Rangers forward Tom Lawrence’s absence has given Celtic an upper hand in the fight for the Scottish Premiership.
Rangers have an extensive injury list, something which hasn’t helped the Scottish club this season domestically and in Europe.
Boyd admitted Rangers are lacking “creativity” up top and that forward Lawrence’s injury currently gives Celtic an advantage over them.

“Rangers are lacking that creativity and the level of goalscoring but when you look at Rangers’ attacking players there are probably a good few that will put their hands up and say that they can do a lot better and if they can find that going forward then things should be ok,” said Boyd speaking to Online Betting Guide OLBG.
“Tom Lawrence has been a big miss but one player shouldn’t be the be-all and end-all for a big football club and that’s where, at this moment in time, Celtic hold the upper hand.”

Grim.
This may be the worst injury-list Rangers have ever faced, it’s absolutely grim viewing at the moment.
You can’t beat around the bush on this one, it’s massively affected the light Blues season so far.
Starting with Ianis Hagi’s ACL in January, long-term injuries have become a recurring theme within the Rangers squad.
Kemar Roofe followed this with 6 months on the sidelines and has only returned to action in the last month, he still looks off the pace a bit.
Filip Helander, John Souttar and Alex Lowry then threw their boots to the gang of injured talents unavailable for Gers.
And that was just the start for Rangers and their injury woes.
Ryan Jack, Tom Lawrence, Connor Goldson and Glen Kamara all followed each other with long spells on the sidelines in quick succession.
Ridvan Yilmaz and Ben Davies are also looking likely to be added to this list now also.
John Lundstram and James Tavernier may also be doubts for upcoming fixtures, although, nothing concrete has been confirmed just yet.
It’s hard to say where Rangers go from here, they will need fringe players in the squad to massively step up if they have any chance of winning silverware this campaign.
