Thierry Henry baffled by Leon King error in Rangers defeat v Ajax
Thierry Henry has been left baffled by Leon King’s part in the opening goal as Rangers lost 3-1 against Ajax in the Champions League at Ibrox on Tuesday (1 November) night.
The Bears finally ended their nightmare Champions League campaign, the worst in the Champions League history as they lost all of their six games.
Many had expected them to do well at Ibrox against Ajax, but they were simply not good enough on the night.
“I like what Kudus does there, laying the ball off, but Jamie (Carragher) can you explain to me what the defender of Rangers is doing there,” said Henry on CBS Sport, as relayed by Football Scotland.
“He just stands and lets the ball go in.”

After what the Bears did last season in the Europa League, this comes as a crushing blow.
This has been an embarrassing campaign for the Gers, and Giovanni van Bronckhorst must take a huge chunk of the blame. It felt like the Champions League is a step too far for the Scottish giants.
All attention must return to domestic football and the Bears must challenge for the title after their excellent win against Aberdeen.
Leon King is a brilliant defender and he has got a bright future ahead of him. It’s unfair that he had been thrown into the pitch in the Champions League with the Gers’ defence depleted.
Without a senior player guiding him alongside, he is bound to make mistakes. However, he will learn from these mistakes, and these experiences will make him a better player in the future.
Van Bronckhorst will be grilled for this effort, and rightly so, but he can silence the critics if the Gers can win the title at the end of the season.
