Journalist shares controversial banner in Rangers win v Aberdeen

Aberdeen fans displayed an offensive banner at Ibrox against Rangers, as shared on Twitter by Dan McCroskrie.

The Scottish Express journalist has labeled it as “disgraceful”, and certainly not “acceptable” on any ground, as you can see below in the image.

The Bears returned to winning ways with a thumping 4-1 win against the Dons, but the scoreline could have easily been more flattering.

Via Twitter, McCroskrie wrote: “A disgraceful banner from a section of the Aberdeen away supporters. Not acceptable at all. Hope the SFA come down on them like a ton of bricks for that.”

Shame

It is a disgraceful banner and very offensive, and such displays on any ground shouldn’t be accepted. It remains to be seen if the SFA take strong action against the Dons fans.

On the pitch, the Bears have responded strongly after their midweek defeat against Napoli in the Champions League.

The Gers have been very poor in recent matches and there have been suggestions that Giovanni van Bronckhorst might not last till January.

They have been very poor in Europe this season, but Van Bronckhorst will be judged based on the domestic performance mainly.

Goals from Antonio Colak, John Lundstram, James Tavernier and Alfredo Morelos have sealed all three points for the home side.

Ridvan Yilmaz picked up a hamstring injury and he could be out for a couple of weeks. Ben Davies has also picked up a knock during the game.

They have dropped a lot of points and it has reached a stage they cannot afford further slip-ups. They have to win all their matches and put pressure on Celtic.

In other Rangers news, Carlton Palmer has tipped this exciting player to join Ibrox in January.
