Marco Negri drools over Rangers winger Ryan Kent
Marco Negri has showered heaps of praise on Rangers winger Ryan Kent.
The Bears will travel to Napoli to face the Italian giants in the Champions League clash on Wednesday (26 October), and Negri thinks that Giovanni van Bronckhorst will come up with different tactics.
He has hailed Kent as “excellent” on Sunday Post (23 October, page 4) and suggests he could be an “important weapon” against the Naples club.

“I expect to see a different Rangers in this tie,” said Negri, as quoted by The Sunday Post.
“This time around, I am sure Rangers will revert to the tactics that served them so well in the run to the Europa League final last year.
“By that I mean playing much deeper – possibly even with a five-man defence – and close Napoli’s space down.
“In this system, pace on the counter-attack is key, and it is here I think Kent will be so important.
“He is excellent at dribbling with the ball and quick enough to be able to sprint past opposition defenders.”
Tough
It’s hard to be optimistic at the moment if you’re a Rangers fan.
The Bears were pitted in a group of death, and it was always going to be difficult against the likes of Ajax, Liverpool, and Napoli.
However, the manner of the defeats is what hurts most. This is a team that reached the finals of the Europa League last season. They should be able to compete toe-to-toe with any side.
However, after four games, the Bears are yet to pick up a point, and they have been knocked out of the group.

If they win their remaining two games, they still have an outside chance of qualifying for the Europa League but the 7-1 defeat against Liverpool may have ruined that possibility as well.
Kent is a class player, no doubt, but he has been struggling with confidence at the moment.
He has been below par this season, and Van Bronckhorst hasn’t always relied on him. The same can be said about Alfredo Morelos as well.
Kent has less than a year left on his present deal, and his future at Ibrox remains uncertain.
