Rangers player ratings v Livingston: James Tavernier, Malik Tillman disappoint
Rangers came back from a goal down to secure a 1-1 draw against Livingston after an eventful first half at the Ibrox on Saturday.
The hosts were handed a major lifeline close to full-time when the visitors went down to ten men as Morgan Boyes received a red card.
They kept prodding and eventually found the back of the net through John Lundstram’s strike in the dying stages of the game.

Our player ratings for the game:
Allan McGregor – 4
A game that ended with the keeper making no saves is never really a good look. Barring the goals, he did not seem to command his defence as well as he has in the past. It wasn’t the most comfortable of games for him.
James Tavernier – 2
Arguably the Rangers captain’s worst performance of the season. Was solely to be blamed for the concession of the goal as he got done on his right side. This led to an easy cross into the box and an opening goal. He did not get better defensively throughout the game.
Leon King – 4
Had a quiet first half and was withdrawn at the break by van Bronckhorst. His passing was on point but defensively he did prove to be a liability.
Ben Davies – 7
A solid performance from the summer signing who now seems to be growing into this role at Ibrox. Was arguably the best defensive player on the pitch as he won all of his duels on the ground and had a 70 per cent success rate in the air. He even made some crucial clearances in the game.

Borna Barisic – 4
There were few eyebrows raised when Barisic was named in the eleven and he did not do much to justify his inclusion in the playing eleven. Lost possession a staggering 34 times in the game and he needs to be dropped for the next game.
John Lundstram – 7
Along with Davies, it can be argued that the 28-year-old was the only other Rangers player that played well in the game. He was tireless as he ran all over the pitch, trying to make things happen and also to disrupt the opponents from controlling the game. He completed 11 out of 13 long balls and his pass accuracy remained north of 90 per cent throughout the game, Later on, he scored the equaliser.
Steven Davis – 5
An average performance from the midfielder who often found himself in places where he could not do much to affect the game. He will not be criticised as there were plenty that were worse than him.
Scott Arfield – 4
Another player to have an uneventful game. Playing on the right flank, the expectations were that he would get to the byline more often and get others into the action. He was missing on numerous occasions in the game was eventually brought off in the 66th minute.
Malik Tillman – 3
Not the best of games for the summer signing. Was constantly bullied in the air and did not really offer anything on or off the ball. It was hard for Gers to control the game without one of their sharpest players grabbing it by the scruff of its neck.
Ryan Kent – 6
Lasted the entire 90 minutes and did nothing noteworthy before he provided the assist for Lundtsram’s goal, barring the loss of possession on 17 occasions. Everyone knows the talent Kent possesses but he’s seldom shown it this season and the Livingston clash was more of the same.

Antonio Colak – 3
He’s enjoyed a good start to life as a Rangers player but this was one of the days he had a quiet outing. He completed just 13 passes all game which suggests just how hard he found it to even get involved, let alone have chances at goal.
