Giovanni van Bronckhorst makes Rangers January transfer admission
Giovanni van Bronckhorst has hinted that Rangers could delve into the January transfer market to buy new players.
There’s still a lot of time left to assess the situation, and the Dutchman is hoping to get some of his key players back from injuries.
The Bears have a raft of injuries in central defence and may need to bolster that area.

“If it stays like this, of course we need to look to do something. But it is still only half of October so we have two-and-a-half months until the January window opens. I am hopeful we have players back at that time,” said Van Bronckhorst, as quoted by the Daily Record.
Crucial
The Bears should look to invest in the squad in the January transfer window. They do have money to spend, and they must do so.
After their poor performance in the Champions League, which was expected though, the Dutchman must win the Scottish Premiership this season. No excuse.
They must add depth and quality to the side, and bring in players who can make a big difference.
It’s not about signing big-name players like Aaron Ramsey, but it is about getting the right profile of players.

John Souttar and Conor Goldson are expected to return by that time, so Van Bronckhorst can take a risk here.
However, they must solve the contract situation of Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent. The club cannot simply let them drag down on their deals until summer and then leave for free.
Both of them are in the last few months of their present deal. Kent and Morelos have both struggled for form and fitness this season, and the Dutchman needs to make a big call on their futures.
