Rangers defender Connor Goldson’s injury not as bad as first feared
Rangers defender Connor Goldson’s injury is not as bad as first feared and will result in him being out for weeks not months, according to the Scottish Sun.
It was originally thought that Goldson would be spending a fair amount of the season on the sidelines when the Gers vice-captain suffered the injury on Wednesday against Liverpool.
The monstrous centre-back left Ibrox on crutches, however, doctors have now discovered that his injury isn’t at the higher end of the scale.

It still leaves Rangers with a bit of an injury crisis for now, with Ben Davies and Leon King their only fit and firing centre-backs.
John Souttar and Filip Helander are both already sidelined.
Gers will be hoping to get through this spell unscathed and go into the winter World Cup break still challenging for the Scottish Premiership title.

Big.
Goldson’s worth to the Gers defence is massive and he’ll be sorely missed in the club’s upcoming fixtures, nevertheless, it’s great that the injury isn’t as bad as first feared.
It was plain to see in the last 30 minutes against Liverpool how much he’s needed at the back, that embarrassment is still looming large in Glasgow.
Goldson hasn’t been in terrific form this campaign but he still adds firepower to the Gers backline and was starting to build a decent-looking partnership with Davies.
All these fresh injury concerns will be the last thing Giovanni van Bronckhorst wants to be facing, anything other than three points puts his job on the line on Sunday.
Rangers might even have to bring in an emergency man, it seems the light Blues have no options for their backline right now and this is worrying, to say the least.
Some decisions need to be made fast.
