Alfredo Morelos and Antonio Colak both start: Rangers predicted starting XI v Liverpool

Rangers welcome Liverpool to Ibrox on Wednesday evening (12 October) in the Champions League for what will no doubt be one of our biggest European ties in years.

Govan will be rocking as Giovanni van Bronckhorst looks to turn around his fortunes in Europe and take some positives away from what has been a torrid campaign so far in Group A.

Changes will be expected after a number of first-team heads were rested in the big win over St Mirren over the past weekend, with the likes of Ryan Kent on the bench.

Allan McGregor will keep his spot in goal, with his sensational form only adding to the questions surrounding his absence at the start of the season.

In a new system with five-at-the-back, both Borna Barisic and James Tavernier will continue but they will be asked to push much further on this week to create more danger.

Connor Goldson and Ben Davies remain at the heart of the defence, and they will be joined by James Sands as his experience sees Leon King, unfortunately, miss out.

Rangers

John Lundstram and Ryan Jack will both hold in midfield to give the front three a much better base ahead of them, with Malik Tillman left out after his struggles at Anfield.

It will be a new role for Kent in this one too, as he comes off the bench to start in a central playmaker role which will allow him to drift around the pitch and pick up the ball in dangerous areas against a struggling Liverpool side.

Antonio Colak keeps his spot after another two goals, but that doesn’t mean Alfredo Morelos will miss out as he joins the Croatian up top for the first time.

Here is how we expect the Bears to line up…

Liverpool are going through a torrid time right now after yet another defeat in the Premier League over the weekend against Arsenal, and it is time to take advantage of that.

The Ibrox faithful will no doubt create one of the best atmospheres we have seen, and the players will thrive off that, let’s hope it’s enough to pull off our biggest result in years.
