Rangers reward rising prospect Adam Devine with a new contract at the club
Rangers are set to reward Adam Devine with a new and improved contract at Ibrox with the club keen to secure the youngster’s future, according to the Daily Record.
The highly-rated teenager was promoted to the first team in recent months to provide backup for Rangers captain James Tavernier.
The 19-year-old made in senior debut as a substitution late last season in a Scottish Premiership game against Dundee United and hopes are high for the right-back.

The report states that the youngster will put pen to paper for at least another two seasons at Ibrox, with his agent arriving in Glasgow to make things a certainty.
Devine looks set to be a part of Giovanni van Bronckhorts’s future plans and will likely challenge for more first-team appearances over the coming campaigns.
The right-backs current deal expires in May 2023.

Bright.
Devine’s future is certainly bright and the fact Rangers are handing him a new and improved contract at this stage in his career suggests they think highly of him.
The teenage talent can follow in the footsteps of former Rangers right-back Nathan Patterson who has transitioned to the Premier League, putting in scintillating outings for Everton this season.
The youngster shouldn’t be put off by playing in captain Tavernier’s position either, he’ll still likely get plenty of chances to showcase his talents and is a more than a capable alternative to the Gers’ main man.
Approaching the grand old age of 31, Tavernier won’t be playing at Ibrox forever and getting ready and raring to go replacement will only benefit the team in future campaigns.
January signing and fellow right-back Mateusz Zukowski’s departure on loan to Lech Poznan highlights Devine’s abilities and will be a good confidence boost for the 19-year-old.
