Kenny Miller: Michael Beale will manage Rangers one day

Kenny Miller has suggested that Michael Beale will manage Rangers in the future.

The Gers legend, however, doesn’t think the Queens Park Rangers boss could replace Giovanni van Bronckhorst at the moment.

Beale, 42, worked at the Glasgow giants for three-and-a-half years as first team coach under Steven Gerrard, and he is loved by the fans.

“I think he’ll be a good manager,” said Miller on Open Goal (27 September).

“For me, seeing him from afar, listening to him speak, he talks great and he’s a really good coach. He knows what he’s doing.

“He’s made a great start at QPR. I think he’ll manage Rangers one day.”

When asked if Beale could replace Van Bronckhorst, Miller added: “It depends on the timing. If it happened soon, that might be too soon for him.”

Future boss?

Why not? Beale is learning the trade in the Championship, and he could be ready to manage Rangers in a few years’ time from now on.

At the moment, it looks highly unlikely that Beale will replace Van Bronckhorst anytime soon.

The Dutchman came under pressure this month after three back-to-back defeats.

Rangers lost against Celtic, and also suffered two defeats in the Champions League.

However, Van Bronckhorst has done an incredible job since taking over at Rangers, and took them to the finals of the Europa League last season.

He also won the Scottish Cup in his first season at the club, but the Gers lost the Scottish Premiership title to Celtic.

Van Bronckhorst retains the trust of the board, but he needs to win the Premiership this season, otherwise, the club could look for other options.

Despite a stuttering start, the Bears are only two points behind Celtic at the top of the table.
