Journalist shares latest fitness update on Rangers midfielder Tom Lawrence
Rangers will face Hearts in the Scottish Premiership clash after the international break and Jonny McFarlane hopes that Tom Lawrence could play some part in the game.
The Rangers Review journalist has suggested on the media outlet’s Youtube channel that it would be “absolutely massive” for the club if the Wales midfielder returns to action.
Lawrence hasn’t played for the Bears since their 4-0 win against Ross County in August, where he picked up a knee injury.

“Tom Lawrence has emerged as a big player,” said McFarlane.
“I’ve seen him twice, he was outstanding both times. And he certainly looks like he’s settled in very, very quickly.
“He gives you that dynamism from an eight position which we just don’t really have otherwise.
“I mean, Scotty Arfield provides it to some extent, but Scotty’s not getting any younger, is he?
“So, absolutely massive that he gets back as soon as possible. Got fingers crossed on that, and hopefully, there’ll be a way that he can get back in for that Hearts game.”
Need him back
Lawrence joined in the summer transfer window from Derby County, and he has already made a strong impact.
The 28-year-old has scored three goals already for Rangers, and the club missed him badly.
In his absence, the Bears have lost three games in a row, including a 4-0 defeat against Celtic in the Scottish Premiership.

Rangers have made a poor start to the season, but they have managed to reduce the gap with Celtic to two points at the top.
McFarlane is absolutely spot on that Lawrence brings dynamism to the side, something the Gers lack without him.
The Bears will be desperate to bring him to the squad as early as possible, but the game against Hearts may have come too soon for him.
Rather, it would be wise not to rush him into the side. It would be a huge boost for the club if he can make the matchday squad, but it won’t be long before he makes his return.
