Keith Jackson: Rangers could get savage beating v Napoli, McGregor must replace McLaughlin
Keith Jackson has insisted that Rangers could get a savage beating against Napoli in the Champions League if they don’t change their generous approach.
The Bears have been smashed by Celtic and Ajax in consecutive humbling defeats in the past fortnight, and will now welcome the free-scoring Italians to Ibrox.
Jackson admitted that Giovanni van Bronckhorst could do himself a “huge favour” by swapping Jon McLaughlin for Allan McGregor as well as sorting his defence out.

Writing in his latest Daily Record column ahead of the showdown, Jackson admitted some changes are certainly needed to help the cause.
“If they welcome the Italians to Ibrox with the same sense of servile generosity then they’ll end up on the wrong end of another beating so savage it will feed straight into their manager’s newly found inferiority complex,” he wrote.
“Van Bronckhorst could do himself a huge favour here by, among other things, redeploying Allan McGregor as his last line of defence and removing the bloodied Jon McLaughlin from the firing line before any more lasting damage is done to last season’s second-choice keeper.”

Changes.
There simply has to be some changes made on Wednesday.
McLaughlin has been skating on ice all season, but yet big names such as James Tavernier and Ryan Kent, as well as Alfredo Morelos are not reaching the heights we know they can.
Van Bronckhorst can’t afford to drop the likes of Kent and Tavernier though and needs to find other ways to get this side back to their best levels of performance.
The Ibrox crowd having all four stands will help that, with no Italian fans making the trip across due to the lack of Policing options available this week after the Queen’s death.
One constant of the huge wins against the likes of RB Leipzig in recent years was the rocking home crowd, and that will be critical as we look to bounce back in the Champions League, and in general.
We have everything crossed that we can take three points and really kickstart this season once again.
