Giovanni van Bronckhorst position under threat if Rangers fail to beat Aberdeen
Giovanni van Bronckhorst is reportedly walking on thin ice as his Rangers side look to take on Aberdeen in the SPFL.
According to Graeme McGarry, should the Dutchman fail to guide his side to victory in that game, his position will come under major scrutiny at the club.
Having lost two big battles against Celtic and Ajax, the Scottish Herald journalist believes that his job could be the next thing he loses.

He wrote, “Postecoglou isn’t going anywhere.
“The same may not be said for van Bronckhorst, though for very different reasons. If Rangers fail to win against Aberdeen at Pittodrie on Saturday (should the match go ahead), then the Dutchman’s position will come under major scrutiny, even this early in the season.
“In the past week, van Bronckhorst has already lost two battles on the pitch, and the war of words off it. His job might well be next.”
Turnaround needed
The Dutchman is under immense pressure to deliver after a horrendous start to the season.
Losing 4-0 to Celtic is not acceptable and he’s got to manage to get a response out of his players in the next few weeks.
Rangers now need to go on a winning run domestically and possibly eke out a few results in Europe for things to improve.
However, to blame this current situation entirely on van Bronckhorst is unfair as the board did not back him completely this summer.
Having qualified for the Champions League should have meant that they will sanction a few more signings before the transfer deadline.
That did not happen and they have left him with a squad that’s not up to the level of the Champions League and is undoubtedly weak compared to Celtic.
In other Rangers news, the BBC never seem to learn their lessons as they persist with their embarrassing anti-Rangers agenda.
