Dan Plumley: Rangers now back on global stage as EA Sports partnership follows Europe success
We’re delighted to welcome football finance expert Dr Daniel Plumley as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Rangers...
Dan Plumley has insisted that Rangers are back on the global stage after their success in Europe in recent years, with new commercial deals reflecting that.
The finance expert admitted that signing on the dotted line with EA Sports this summer is indicative of the re-rise of the Bears, who have a huge appeal.
The commercial team at Ibrox were also hailed for pushing the boundaries of what they can achieve each year by working hard to get this one over the line.

“It is indicative of the re-rise of Rangers in recent years and how they’ve been performing on the pitch,” he exclusively told Ibrox News.
“We know that the potential is always there being UK-based and knowing the appeal of Rangers. Getting back into Europe – that run to the Europa League final and now Champions League qualification, those things put you on a global stage and high-profile partnerships tend to follow that.
“They have a good commercial team there who really push the boundaries and work hard to get these deals over the line.”

Rangers have signed on the dotted line with EA Sports for a multi-year partnership, showing the strength that both the club and company have to grow.
It is said that it will bring benefits to Light Blues both in the United Kingdom and around the world, and its branding will now be seen around Ibrox.
With eSports also a growing market, this is set to bring new initiatives to the club and is certainly something to look out for in the coming months and years.
