Kenny Miller suggests two Celtic players are better than Rangers winger Ryan Kent
Kenny Miller has suggested that two Celtic players are better than Ryan Kent after Rangers suffered a 4-0 defeat against the Hoops in the Old Firm derby clash on Saturday (3 September) at Parkhead.
The Bears legend while writing his column for The Daily Record (4 September), said that Jota is a better player than Kent, while Liel Abada might now be better than the Gers winger as well.
He is also concerned that Rangers are over-reliant on Kent. However, Miller is convinced that technically, Kent could be better than both of them.

“They constantly rely on Ryan Kent to produce something which, if we’re honest, only happens now and again. He doesn’t do it anywhere near often enough,” wrote Miller for The Daily Record.
“But it’s unfair on Kent because every time he gets the ball, you see Rangers’ players thinking: ‘He’s going to do something for us’. That’s not right.
“At the moment, Jota is a better player than Kent. There’s no getting away from it By the way, Liel Abada might now be better than Kent as well, in terms of his output for Celtic.
“Technically, Kent might have more in his locker. But in terms of a hunger for goals and how direct and sharp he is in front of goal, Abada is proving he’s ahead of him.”
Kent connundrum
Rangers have added depth in their squad in the summer, but Giovanni Van Bronckhorst’s squad depth has been brutally left exposed on Saturday.
Kent is a top-class player who has got plenty of quality. He is technically brilliant and gives the impression that he can create moments of magic.
However, Kent is someone who doesn’t score enough. He is also someone who doesn’t provide enough assists either. There lies the main debate regarding Kent.

An attacking winger must contribute to the team in terms of output, and Kent has failed horribly in that department.
Van Bronckhorst could have sold him in the summer, considering his contract situation, but he wants his best players to help him achieve his dreams.
The Dutchman needs to find a way to counter this problem. Miller is spot on here, Rangers are heavily reliant on Kent, and they need to stop that.
The defeat against Celtic is hard to take but it is also a warning sign that the players need to step up and work hard to close the gap at the top.
In other Rangers news, the BBC never seem to learn their lessons as they persist with their embarrassing anti-Rangers agenda.
