Journalist shares how many players Rangers mooted to sign after Champions League qualification

Rangers are reportedly likely to bring in one more player before the window closes, having sealed Champions League qualification.

According to Sun journalist Alan Nixon, there is one that could up ahead of the September 1 deadline, but has not mentioned any specifics.

Gers secured qualification to the Champions League group stage after beating PSV over two legs which does give them more funds to go out and spend on new players.

Via Twitter, Nixon said, “There’s one that might come up.”

New midfielder?

Midfield appears to be an area that Gers haven’t addressed this summer with the focus being on defenders and attacking players.

A new right-back could also possibly be targeted as they have not yet replaced Nathan Patterson who was sold to Everton in January.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst has proven that he deserves the backing after taking Rangers to the Europa League final and now the Champions League group stages.

With this squad, getting to the knockout rounds is going to be a challenge, so he does need some more backing in the market.

If Alfredo Morelos does leave, the club may look to bring in another striker as well to serve as backup to Antonio Colak.

The Croatian striker has enjoyed a flying start to life at Ibrox and few would’ve thought that he would completely oust Morelos from playing eleven and making him redundant to the first team.

In other Rangers news, the BBC never seem to learn their lessons as they persist with their embarrassing anti-Rangers agenda.
