Ibrox will have new hero if Ross Barkley joins Rangers

Rangers are eyeing a move for Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley, and he would be a massive signing.

The Sun journalist Alan Nixon wrote on his Patreon on 29 August that the England international, who’s on around a £200k/week deal at Stamford Bridge, is being chased by a host of clubs including the Gers.

He has left the club on mutual consent, and the Bears are now looking to bring him to Ibrox.

The situation has completely changed for the Bears after they secured passage to the group stages of the Champions League.

The Gers will face the likes of Liverpool, Ajax and Napoli in a tough group, and for that, they will need an extra bit of quality.

Rangers now have the money and glamour to attract top players, and Barkley is not out of their reach.

Of course, the former Everton playmaker will need to reduce his wage demands, but he shouldn’t hesitate in moving to Rangers.

A player of his calibre should do well in Scotland. Known for his pace, guile and energy, Barkley has scored 46 career goals at club levels.

He also featured for the England national team, and now a move to Rangers can help him get into Gareth Southgate’s squad as well if he performs at a top level.

But above all, this is his best chance to resurrect his career, and play regular football once again.

He is at that age of his career, where he cannot waste his prime years. He has the ability to win matches for his side.

Rangers will have a new hero if he moves to Ibrox. He will add tremendous depth and quality to the squad, and let’s hope the Gers can wrap up a deal for him.

In other Rangers news, the BBC never seem to learn their lessons as they persist with their embarrassing anti-Rangers agenda.
