Standard Liege hold executive meetings as £4.6m Rangers transfer for Nicolas Raskin on cards
Standard Liege have held a meeting with dressing room executives over Nicolas Raskin as a move to Rangers remains on the cards this week, according to DH Sports.
The online outlet has reported on its website that the Belgian side are demanding up to £4.6million for the box-to-box midfielder before the deadline.
Raskin is said to be pushing for a move over the next week, with Rangers having their Champions League money ready to use after qualifying for the group stages.

Only 24 hours after qualifying for the Champions League, the money has led to some big transfer links already coming from all angles.
Raskin would make a lot of sense though.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst is said to want a holding midfielder, as well as another who can play further forward, and the young Belgian can fill either role if needed.
Described as a creative option, Raskin can get on the ball and progress forward whether dribbling or finding that vital pass to break through the lines.

Money talks.
The one negative of having that Champions League money is that clubs will start to raise their asking prices.
Standard Liege have held this executive meeting so they will know that Raskin is on his way out, so Ross Wilson may be able to work his magic and get that price down.
£4.6million isn’t huge and with the midfielder now in the final year of his contract, this may be the final chance they have to make any money on the talent.
Raskin can also push for the move, and if he does, it could happen very quickly.
After a quiet few weeks at Ibrox, everyone thought we were done, but the door has now been opened to multiple new possible arrivals before next Thursday [01 September].
Raskin could be the first of many new arrivals, let’s cross our fingers we can get this one done and move on to the next to get this squad stronger than ever.
In other Rangers news, Ross Wilson now has names lined up just in case Alfredo Morelos seals his exit this summer
