Rangers may get rid of Glen Kamara to sign two new midfielders in next week
Rangers could still sell Glen Kamara this summer as they want to sign two midfielders before the window slams shut next week, according to the Fourth Official.
The online source has reported that the Bears have been prepared to cut the Finland international loose for a decent fee throughout the summer, but was unsure whether or not qualifying for the Champions League changed that.
Kamara started in the 1-0 win over PSV Eindhoven, but Ross Wilson is still looking for a holding midfield option alongside a more attacking-minded player too.

Writing on their official Patreon page, The Fourth Official shared what could happen in the next week as new midfield plans look to be put in place.
“I know that Kamara is one player they were willing to let go if a fair bid came in,” they wrote. “I don’t know yet if yesterday changed anything.
“The reason why Rangers are willing to let go of Kamara is that they want to add two players in the midfield – one defensive and another decidedly not so.
“One rumour which we all saw was Evander, and although the club shot this one down, there is probably something there based on what I heard from my independent sources. Apparently, the club are also looking at three more options for this position, so maybe they are not sure yet.”

Really?
With the Champions League windfall now in the bag, do we really need to sell to buy?
Giovanni van Bronckhorst is looking to strengthen his depth and options to call upon, and adding two new faces in midfield would certainly make that happen.
Kamara was very sharp over in Eindhoven and proved that he still has what it takes to shine on the biggest stage for the Light Blues moving forward and beyond this season.
Based on that evidence, he shouldn’t be going anywhere and that may be the message going around the boardroom with the squad not needing any exits.
Adding a couple of new faces in the next seven days would be amazing, and only strengthen our squad ready to push for even more silverware and succeed on the biggest stage in the Champions League.
Kamara should be in that – regardless of whether he could bring in two new faces.
