Rangers open contract talks with highly-rated defender Adam Devine
Rangers have reportedly opened talks with Adam Devine as they want the 19-year-old to stay put at Ibrox.
According to Football Scotland, Devine is highly rated by the Ibrox hierarchy as they aim to keep him at the club for the foreseeable future.
The reason he has struggled for game time is that James Tavernier has done well both in terms of his form and also staying fit to play all games.

Good move
Mateusz Zukowski was signed earlier this year but is yet to get any action as a Rangers player.
It’s clear that Giovanni van Bronckhorst rates the teenager highly and would undoubtedly want him to stay on as backup right-back.
It would be good to see Devine getting some games in the cup or even off the bench in the league.
Van Bronckhorst has done well to promote youngsters and being the second choice at Rangers is not a bad thing for a teenager.
If Devine is given the assurances that he needs, we see no real reasons for him not signing a new deal.
Hopefully, this is the season that he matures as a player and starts playing more senior football as he looks ready to go to that next level.
He’s already made the bench against Union Saint-Gilloise and PSV in Europe as well as Livingston in the Premiership which has got to be a positive sign.
In other Rangers news, Celtic and the Gers are at loggerheads over a record-breaking SPFL midfielder and a bid for him has already been tabled.
