Rangers official partner shocked after controversial moments in Hibs draw
Rangers official media partner Heart and Hand were left shocked after the refereeing incidents in the 2-2 draw against Hibernian on Saturday.
Gers ended the game with nine men and were on course for the three points had it not been for Josh Campbell’s goal in stoppage time.
However, the calls made by referee Willie Collum led to plenty of eyebrows raised and outrage in the blue half of Glasgow.
Heart and Hand wrote on Twitter, “That’s [Lundstram red] a shocking decision especially when he booked Henderson for the same foul first half.
“Nah this is disgraceful. See that every match.”
Shambles
These calls will be appealed and we’re quite confident that the Lundstram red will be overruled by the panel that looks at these decisions.
It was not a great tackle but certainly did not deserve a red and will probably be brought down to a yellow.
This is a clear indication of how referees cost Gers games and this should have been an easy three points, but it became impossible to defend the lead with two players less.
There certainly are aspects that Giovanni van Bronckhorst will be looking to improve but this result cannot be blamed on him.
Hopefully, once VAR is implemented at the end of the year, these howlers are out of the game and referees are actually exposed for making such shocking calls.
Gers cannot afford to have their first-team players ruled out of the Parkhead clash on September 3 due to bizarre decisions.
In other Rangers news, Celtic and the Gers are at loggerheads over a record-breaking SPFL midfielder and a bid for him has already been tabled.
