Confirmed Rangers starting XI v Hibernian
Rangers have confirmed their starting XI for the Scottish Premiership showdown with Hibernian on Saturday afternoon (20 August) at Easter Road.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst has made a number of changes for the clash with the likes of Ryan Jack and Rabbi Matondo coming into the side.
Confirmed on Twitter prior to kick-off, the Bears have decided to axe both Steven Davis and Malik Tillman, despite both shining in midweek.
The biggest talking point of this one is the scheduling.
After drawing 2-2 with PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League qualifiers first-leg, the return leg in Holland next week is on everyone’s minds already.
The Dutch side have a weekend off and that has led to many questioning why Rangers have had to play this fixture, but now it is time to just get on with it.

Warm-up.
If anything, playing while PSV don’t will only get us more prepared for the game while we hope they come into the showdown in midweek somewhat rusty.
Van Bronckhorst will only care about the Scottish Premiership now though.
Three points here to make it four wins from four will be a sensational start, although Easter Road is always known as a tough venue, so there is a lot on the line.
There are usually big challenges flying in and tempers flaring when the Light Blues are in Edingburgh, but it is all about keeping our heads and making sure we leave with the points.
Hibs haven’t exactly started the season well either, so it is time to take advantage of that and leave them licking their wounds only one month into the campaign.
Expect those who were rested today to come back in at Eindhoven, with some healthy rotation the smart option today.
