Chris Sutton shares instant reaction to Rangers draw v Hibernian

Chris Sutton has insisted that Alfredo Morelos cost Rangers in their 2-2 draw against Hibernian on Saturday afternoon at Easter Road.

The Bears took home only one point after both the Bufalo and John Lundstram were sent off in the second half by Willie Collum before a last-gasp equaliser.

Sutton admitted that the home side deserved the late goal, although it may not have happen if the referee didn’t make some questionable decisions yet again.

Writing on his personal Twitter account at the full-time whistle, Sutton shared his instant reaction to the biggest talking point in the draw.

“Morelos cost Rangers today,” he wrote.

“Hibs deserved that late equaliser.”

Embarrassing.

Did Hibs really deserve that?

Without Collum trying to make it all about himself yet again, Rangers would have easily cruised to three points and continued their perfect start to the season.

First, the Lundstram red card was the worst decision we have ever seen, with not even one stud raised in the challenge – one you see nearly every week in football to stop counterattacks.

Morelos then gave Collum a decision to make, and he should know better than that by now.

Of course, Hibs dominated after that, we would have some very strong questions about Scottish football if they couldn’t get on top of nine men with 11 on the pitch.

It will be best to move on as soon as possible from this one, with numerous things simply laughable and you have to see them more than once to actually believe them.

Embarrassing.
